On Wednesday, March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a pandemic, which simply means, that this is a new disease for which most people do not have immunity. This is not a cause for panic. Instead, its a time to get as much information as you can to keep your chances of being adversely affected by the virus as low as possible.
Hosea 4:6 says, “My people perish or are destroyed for lack of knowledge.”
…but as for this house, we will be informed and prepared!!!

Do not enter if you have a cough, high fever, shortness of breath or if you have been exposed to anyone who has tested positive with COVID-19 in the past fourteen (14) days;

Individuals age thirteen (13) and up are required to wear a cloth face covering to enter and remain inside (a cloth face covering is recommended but not required for children ages 2-12);

At all times, individuals who are not part of the same household should maximize physical distance from others and remain at least six (6) feet apart – handshaking, hugging, or kissing is discouraged;

Proper hand washing and frequent use of hand sanitizer is encouraged.

Important Things To Know:

1) This virus is not going to defeat us, because we at Abundant Life Christian Center are armed with information, wisdom, and Faith. In addition, our Pastor is in communication with medical and government officials, who are available to provide the necessary guidance during this season.
2) Although there is currently no antiviral treatment for the Coronavirus, you can do things to boost your immune system. These things include:
  • Supplementing with vitamins (like C, D, and B complex)
  • Eating a healthy diet rich in colorful fruits and vegetables which are also full of vitamins and nutrients
  • Eating foods that promote good gut flora (like yogurt that have live cultures) because this is where our immune systems are regulated
  • Avoiding sugar which causes inflammation and can disrupt the immune system
  • Managing your stress
  • Exercise
  • Getting plenty of sleep
3) Use EPA approved, household disinfectants to wipe down surfaces like countertops, tabletops, doorknobs, bathroom fixtures, cellphones, computers, etc.
4) Some of most important ways to avoid contracting any disease:
  • Consistent hygiene measures like HANDWASHING with soap and water for at least 20 seconds before eating, after using the restroom, after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  • Avoid close contact with those that are sick
5) The virus is spread by direct contact with respiratory droplets of an infected individual. You should avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth after touching surfaces that could be infected, such as door knobs, shopping carts, elevator buttons, etc, because this will result in self-contamination.
6) Symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough, shortness of breath. Seek medical care if you present with these symptoms.
In closing, ALCC is fully committed to your safety at all times. We operate under Kingdom covering, in partnership with wisdom and guidance from the Holy Spirit. Our building is routinely cleaned each week; however, we have taken extra measures to ensure surfaces and points of contact are sanitized per the CDC recommendation. This includes, but not limited to all counter surfaces, door handles, children’s classrooms, restroom fixtures, computers, etc. In addition, ALCC has hand sanitizing stations placed in different areas of the church. Pastor is in constant contact with his medical and government resources to stay on top of this, and he will always act with our safety in mind. We will continue to keep you informed, as we are made aware of any changes.
